SB5 – New Revenue for Ohio

Coverage in the Dispatch today examines the savings to be realized in Ohio once the bill is implemented. The Ohio Department of Administrative Services (DAS) has created some estimates that attempt to get close to the savings, which are stated at just over $1 billion for the healthcare and longevity pay portions.

Though only an estimate, it seems this bill goes a long way in rethinking critical budget questions, laying a foundation that Ohio can stand on, hopefully for years to come.

What do you and your constituents think?
