Ohio’s Legislative Agenda

The Ohio House has published its legislative agenda for the coming year, in accordance with the wishes of the people who elected them. Gone from the slate is collective bargaining. Replacing it is a focus on the economy and private sector job creation.

As this is an election year, we can expect the legislative agenda to be less brazen than last year, as Senate and House members know that they’ll be evaluated by their constituents come November.

According to the Plain Dealer, we can expect JobsOhio to be included in the economic priorities, as well as some adjustments at the Bureau of Workers Compensation. Other items include regulating water withdrawals from Lake Erie, as well as school funding.

It may yet prove to be an interesting year.
