Ohio: great talent, location, potential.
Posted by Twenty One on Jun 6, 2011 in Blog | 44 commentsMark Kvamme, Ohio Governor John Kasich’s economic development guru, recently granted an interview to Jim Heath at ONN-TV. Kvamme spoke about the surprising assets that exist in Ohio, going so far as to say that if he weren’t doing his current job, he’d be setting up an investment fund in the Midwest, right here in Ohio.
Why? Kvamme sights at least three things in the interview that, as an Ohioan, I know to be true: Ohio’s logistics assets, its universities and its core industries, saying that “huge growth industries are here.”
Kvamme also sights another intangible. Saying that he was pleasantly surprised to find such a wealth of talent, when asked what sold him on Ohio, Kvamme replied with one word: the people.
We knew that all along!
