Kasich Faces the Nation

Ohio Governor John R. Kasich is making no shortage of headlines of late. From golf with the president, to balancing the Ohio budget in the face of a projected $8 billion shortfall, he’s been in local and national print, business magazines, the blogosphere, and now he’s back to on camera with a weekend appearance on Face the Nation.

The governor joined the governors of Wisconsin and Massachusetts, Scott Walker and Deval Patrick, as well as the Mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio Villaraigosa, to discuss how states and cities are dealing with budget shortfalls, the economy, and what Washington should do to get something done about the whole mess.

Kasich, having recently completed what the Columbus Dispatch called a “game-changer” budget, had some valuable, empirical, and direct, experience.

Was the nation listening?
